Session Leader: Mike Culligan, LINGOs Last Mile Learning 

Description: As many LINGOs members know, deploying a learning platform involves more than just building or configuring a portal.  Mike Culligan will focus on key lessons from launching a Learning Platform serving a broad range of learners in a particularly challenging environment with both formal and informal/social learning. Mike will share initial findings and tips from the launch and initial deployment of a LINGOs Last Mile Learning Platform serving the staff of over 90 local and international NGOs working in Syria, where informal/social learning is equally important to the formal learning provided through structured eLearning courses. 

Objectives: Participants will:

• Review lessons learned (both successes and challenges) from the Syria NGO Platform launch process and,
• Receive seven tips that will enable them to apply these lessons to the launch/roll out of learning platforms for their own audiences of international development/humanitarian workers.
