Participants on this 4-week blended learning program will spend approximately eight hours per week.

  • Three hours per week in virtual classroom training and coaching
  • Five hours using a variety of structured offline reading, using self-paced eLearning resources, participating in a virtual community of practice and completing a number of assignments.

The course fee includes all classes, access to all materials including self-paced modules and community site and instructor coaching. (Course fee does not include certification exam fee). Participants will also receive a project management capacity assessment tool that they can use with their own projects and organisations.

John Cropper

John has worked in the non-profit sector for over 20 years first with The British Council in Spain and Vietnam and then with Oxfam, where he was Regional Programme Manager for Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean for three years and went on to manage its project management systems. In his last job at Oxfam, he managed a global programme on gender and governance. John is passionate about project management and believes that good project management can make a massive contribution to reducing poverty and suffering.

He is Prince 2 Practitioner certified and a member of both the Project Management Institute and the Association of Project Management. He holds an MBA as well as an MA in Education. John helped develop PMD Pro and has facilitated courses in Europe, the US, Africa, Asia and Latin America. He also sits on the Board of PM4NGOs – the NGO that owns the PMD Pro standard. In addition, he is the VIce Chair of Anti-Slavery International.

em_pic Edson Marinho – Edson is the PM4NGOs Operations Manager and CEO and founder of Teoria da Prática – a Brazilian project management consulting company. He is also an associate consultant for INK and Quintessência Inteligência Organizacional. He is one the first PMDPro Level 1 trainers in Brazil and the first Brazilian professional to acquire the PMDPro Level 2.

An International Relations bachelor and Distance Learning and Project Management in Development specialist, Edson is also a senior member of the Brazilian PMDPro Trainers Network and an associate member of PMI International. Edson has managed both small projects and large projects. He has more than 12 years’ experience working for well-known organizations like ChildFund, World Vision and Ética Fairtrade.
