John Cropper – John has worked in the non-profit sector for over 20 years first with The British Council in Spain and Vietnam and then with Oxfam, where he was Regional Programme Manager for Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean for three years and went on to manage its project management systems. In his last job at Oxfam, he managed a global programme on gender and governance. John is passionate about project management and believes that good project management can make a massive contribution to reducing poverty and suffering.
He is Prince 2 Practitioner certified and a member of both the Project Management Institute and The Association of Project Management. He holds an MBA as well as an MA in Education. John helped develop PMDPro and has facilitated courses in Europe, the US, Africa, Asia and Latin America. He also sits on the Board of PM4NGOs – the NGO that owns PMDPro standard. In addition he is the Vice Chair of Anti-Slavery International.
Ross Coxon – In his role at LINGOS, Ross provides and oversees the development, delivery and evaluation of capacity building and training initiatives for the project services team, with a specific focus on PMD Pro.
His experience in this field, over the last 14 years, has seen him deliver and support similar activities worldwide. Ross has taught developing communities about environmental protection and worked in the Private Sector in the UK and developed an in depth and experienced-based knowledge of the full scope of learning and development processes and practice. Before LINGOs he worked for Islamic Relief, as the Head of Learning and Development, delivering interventions to over 2,500 learners across 30 countries.
Ross is a Prince II qualified Practitioner and holds a Degree in Geology and Environmental Studies. He lives in Birmingham, in the heart of the UK with his wife and enjoys outdoor pursuits, especially camping out in tents, where he is happiest.
