About the Presenter
Anouk Janssens-Bevernage, award-winning Director of DynaMind eLearning and author of the eLearning Nomad Blog , worked with UN organisations and NGOs for almost 16 years before co-founding DynaMind eLearning in 2006.
Her mission is to ensure that e-learning respects adult learning principles. The challenging topics that the development sector typically addresses underscore the importance of a strong human touch in training. The typical approaches of the corporate and higher education sectors don’t work for our sector. Anouk and DynaMind eLearning created a model of eWorkshops that both emulates the collaborative problem solving experiences of participatory face to face workshops and leverages technology to enable NGOs to cost-effectively deliver the learning experience to participants around the world.
Anouk and Dynamynd have earned 2014 Gold LearnX Asia Pacific Impact Award for Best eLearning Model and the 2015 Award for Best Online Facilitator for her work in training e-facilitators and Moodle eWorkshop designers worldwide. She runs 6 online training workshops every year for NGOs who are implementing eWorkshops as part of their capacity building programs (staff and target groups).
Anouk holds Masters Degrees in both Economic Sciences and Business Administration in her native Belgium. As her career interests evolved toward adult education and e-learning, she obtained tertiary qualifications in these fields from universities in South Africa and the UK. She currently lives on the Australian Sunshine Coast.
